Oil & Gas Field Operations Program
2
Introduction:
Module 2 of
the Oil and Gas Field Operations series program discusses natural gas
production and processing, including the relationships between temperature,
pressure and volume. Procedures linked to gas hydrate handling and prevention
will be covered in detail. The candidates will also become familiar with gas
line heaters, liquid-gas separation, dehydration, gas sweetening, condensate
stabilization, wastewater treatment, Sulphur production, hydrocarbon separation
and sampling procedures of liquids and gas.
Course
Objectives:
By the end of this
course delegates will be able to:
· Explain gas
field operations, gas production, and field and plant processing of natural gas
· Identify the
types of heat exchangers and their uses in natural gas production and
processing
· Describe field
production equipment, its design and operation, and specific maintenance
procedures
· Explain in
detail the causal conditions, the hazards involved, and the prevention and
handling of natural gas hydrates
· Demonstrate the
flow and treatment of natural gas though a typical gas plant including inlet
separation, sweetening, dehydration, Sulphur recovery, condensate
stabilization, water treatment, and hydrocarbon separation and handling
Who
Should Attend?
Petroleum Engineers,
Production Engineers, Project Engineers, Field Operators, Chemical Engineers, Production
Facilities Supervisors
