NEBOSH International Fire Safety & Risk Management Certificate IFC1 + IFC2 + IFC3 (Course & Examination)



Introduction:


The International Fire Certificate has been designed for managers, supervisors, employee representatives and others to provide an appropriate breath of underpinning knowledge for non-specialists in fire safety to enable them to discharge more effectively their organizational duties or functions with respect to workplace fire safety. It also aims to equip holders to contribute to the conduct and review of fire risk assessments and preventative and protective measures within most low risk workplaces, in accordance with International and European best practice conventions.

 

The NEBOSH International Fire Certificate will teach you how to carry out fire risk assessments and identify the range of measures you need to minimize the risk of fire. The NEBOSH International Fire Certificate is based on international standards and best practice.  It is made up of three units which must be successfully completed within five years to achieve the NEB0SH International Fire Certificate qualification.

 

The NEBOSH International Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management is a new qualification for those with fire safety responsibilities in the workplace. The training will assist personnel in carrying out fire risk assessments and identify the range of measures one will need to minimize the risk of fire in the workplace; thereafter help to raise the standards of fire risk management in workplaces across the world. If you have been awarded the NEBOSH International General Certificate or NEBOSH International Construction Certificate in the last five years you will be exempt from Unit IGC1 and can simply 'top up' by completing Unit IFC1 and the practical assessment (Unit IFC2). The NEBOSH International Fire Certificate is designed for anyone with fire safety responsibilities in the workplace including:

UNIT IFC2: Workplace-Based Practical Assessment (Fire Risk Assessment)

Note * - If you have been awarded a NEBOSH International General Certificate in the last 5 years you will be exempt from IGC1 and can simply 'top up' with the specialist unit and practical assessment to achieve the new award.

ASSESSMENT AND CERTIFICATION

The course is assessed through written examinations for each of the units and a practical fire risk assessment. A unit certificate is issued denoting successful achievement of each unit. After successful completion of the two units and practical assessment, you will attain the certificate of NEBOSH International Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management.

PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP

  • Holders of the International Fire Certificate are entitled to Associate Membership (AIOSH) of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). The qualification also meets the academic requirements for Technical Membership (Tech IOSH) of IOSH and Associate Membership (AIIRSM) of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM).
  • It also provides eligibility for Technician Membership (TIFPO) of the Institute of Fire Prevention Officers (IFPO) and meets the academic requirements for Associate Membership (AMIFPO).  Persons with the relevant skills and experience may also apply to join the IFPO Fire Risk Assessors Register.

The NEBOSH International Fire Certificate has been accredited and credit rated by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA). It sits in the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) at SCQF Level 6 with 13 SCQF credit points.

COURSE CERTIFICATE

Certificate of Completion will be provided to the candidate(s) who successfully attend and complete the course. Training hours attendance percentage of 75% is required.


TRAINING HOURS

Standard course hours: 8:30 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. Informal discussions: 4:30 P.M. to 5:30 P.M.

We use a blend of interactive and hands-on methods, active participation, a variety of instructional techniques, dynamic presentations, individual and group exercises, in depth discussion, DVD’s, role-plays, case studies, examples. All of the information, competencies, knowledge and skills acquired within our training programs, are 100% transferrable to the participants’ workplace.

Pre-Test and Post-Test Assessment are applied on 5-day and 10-day programs. Also, post course evaluation and candidate’s evaluation are applied to add another level of quality measurement. Candidates’ feedback is highly appreciated to elevate the training service quality.

REGISTRATION POLICY

Nominations to our public courses are to be processed by the client’s Training and/or HR departments. A refund will be issued back to the client in the event of course cancellation or seat unavailability. A confirmation will be issued to the relevant department official(s). 


CANCELLATION POLICY

If a confirmed registration is cancelled less than 5 working days prior to the course start date, a substitute participant may be nominated to attend the same course or a 20% cancellation charge is applied. In case of a no-show, a 100% fee will be charged.


PAYMENT POLICY

Payment is due upon receiving the course confirmation, invoice and/or proforma invoice. However; the fee due can be wire transferred to our bank account directly after course completion. Our bank details are illustrated on the confirmation, invoice and proforma invoice, as well. The above documents can be communicated electronically, i.e., in a soft copy or/and in hard copy based on customer’s request.
