Welding Activities, Principles & Procedures

(Meets OSHA & ASME Standards)

Introduction:

This comprehensive course meets OSHA and ASME standards. It goes from basic torch cutting to more advanced arc and TIG welding techniques. It will help you develop knowledge of welding activities, procedures and standards. You will also be able to develop a working knowledge of different welding techniques, equipment setup and operations. Throughout the course participants will learn about different welding processes such as Shield metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Metal Active Gas (MIG/MAG),Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG), Oxy-Acetylene (OA) and metallurgy (before, during and after welding). Besides, the course will help participants develop a good understanding of Welding standards.

The candidates will gain a solid understanding about the various welding processes used for fabrication or manufacturing. You will learn about the factors that impact weld quality. Increase your understanding of applied metallurgy and your knowledge of weld references on welding prints. You will discover the importance of following safety guidelines and approved welding procedures. You’ll also learn the basics of troubleshooting weld defects. This course material is in accordance with AWS, American Welding Society standards.
