Production Facilities Fundamentals & Overview
Introduction:
This course provides an overview of the main subjects covered in detail during the course. The focus of this course is on oil and produced water processing treatment. The equipment used in the different processing steps will be discussed including review of various process flow diagrams to show how everything fits together. Typical operational problems and their solutions will also be discussed.
Course Objectives:
By the end of this course delegates will learn about:
· Oil, gas, and water compositions and properties needed for equipment selection and sizing
· How to select and evaluate processes and equipment used to condition produced oil and water in order to meet sales or disposal specifications
· How to apply physical and thermodynamic property correlations and principles to the design and evaluation of oil production and processing facilities
· How to perform equipment sizing calculations for major production facility equipment
· How to evaluate processing configurations for different applications
· How to recognize and develop solutions to operating problems in oil production facilities
· About water injection systems which are typically used to provide increased oil recovery
