Introduction:


Fleet management is the proactive management of an organization's vehicle assets and the people that use those assets. It is a function which allows companies which rely on transportation in business to remove or minimize the risks associated with vehicle investment by improving efficiency, productivity and reducing their overall transportation and staff costs. Fleet management includes commercial motor vehicles such as cars, ships, vans and trucks, as well as rail cars. Fleet management can include a range of functions, such as vehicle financing, vehicle maintenance, vehicle telematics (tracking and diagnostics), driver management, speed management, fuel management and health and safety management.

 

This program is designed for those involved in fleet, transportation and distribution activities, both at the operational and supervisory and managerial levels. Fleet management is a critical position in any company that has a number of commercial vehicles. The individual responsible for the management and maintenance of fleet vehicles performs a variety of functions. Preventative maintenance, order, vendor logging and fuel economy are among a few of the issues that fleet maintenance managers deal with on a daily basis.

 

This course focuses on fleet life cycles which includes fleet selection and acquisition, fleet finance and risk management, fleet operations management, fleet utilization and fleet replacement and disposal. It will also look at the principles and policies involved with fleet management. The course will examine the transportation function in a holistic manner. The course will start by outlining the requirements of successful fleet maintenance programs and workshops. The course then describe the components of stringent fleet and driver safety programs and experiment with different capital budgeting and distribution routing techniques. Certificate of Completion will be provided to the candidate(s) who successfully attend and complete the course. Training hours attendance percentage of 75% is required.

Standard course hours: 8:30 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. Informal discussions: 4:30 P.M. to 5:30 P.M.

REGISTRATION POLICY

Nominations to our public courses are to be processed by the client’s Training and/or HR departments. A refund will be issued back to the client in the event of course cancellation or seat unavailability. A confirmation will be issued to the relevant department official(s). 


CANCELLATION POLICY

If a confirmed registration is cancelled less than 5 working days prior to the course start date, a substitute participant may be nominated to attend the same course or a 20% cancellation charge is applied. In case of a no-show, a 100% fee will be charged.


PAYMENT POLICY

Payment is due upon receiving the course confirmation, invoice and/or proforma invoice. However; the fee due can be wire transferred to our bank account directly after course completion. Our bank details are illustrated on the confirmation, invoice and proforma invoice, as well. The above documents can be communicated electronically, i.e., in a soft copy or/and in hard copy based on customer’s request.
